Pearl Care

Anti-acid attack:

In order to keep the luster and color of pearls unaffected, avoid contacting pearls with acids, alkalis and chemicals, such as perfumes, soaps, and styling water.
Do not swim or bathe wearing pearl jewelry. So please wear your lovely pearls after makeup.

Away from the kitchen:

Pearls have tiny pores on the surface, so it is not advisable for them to inhale airborne contaminants. Pearls will absorb substances such as hairspray, perfume, etc.
So don’t wear pretty pearls to the electricity generator, and be careful in the kitchen. Don’t wear beautiful pearls to cook dishes, steam and oil fumes may seep into
the pearls and cause them to turn yellow.

Not near clean water:

Do not clean pearl necklaces with water. Water can get into the pores of the beads, which is not only difficult to wipe dry, but may also ferment the inside and the bead
lines may turn green. If you sweat a lot when wearing it, you can carefully wipe it off with a soft damp towel, dry it naturally and put it back in the jewelry box. After the
pearl turns yellow, it can be remedied as follows: soaking in dilute hydrochloric acid can dissolve the yellowed shell, so that the pearl can reproduce the brilliant and
charming color. But if the color becomes too yellow, it is difficult to reverse.

Air Required:

Do not keep pearls in safes for long periods of time, and do not seal them with plastic bags. Pearls need fresh air, and they have to be taken out and worn every few months
to allow them to breathe. If placed in the box for a long time, the pearl will easily turn yellow.

Avoid exposure to the sun:

Since pearls contain a certain amount of water, pearls should be placed in a cool place, try to avoid direct sunlight, or place them in a place that is too dry to avoid dehydration of pearls.

Anti-hard objects scratch:

Pearl jewelry should be stored separately to prevent other jewelry from scratching the pearl cortex. If you plan to wear the bead chain on clothes, the texture of the clothes should be
soft and slippery. Materials that are too rough may scratch your precious pearls.

Regular inspection and 3-year thread replacement:

The silk thread is easy to loosen after a long time. You can regularly check whether the silk thread is loose and replace the thread once every 1 to 2 years. It is best to re-string pearls
every 3 years, depending on the number of times of wearing. Depends. Dirt that enters the hole of the bead will generate friction, which will break the nylon thread, and the broken
position will be subjected to force close to the button.
